back in the day, the players on the team usually voted if a guy who wasnt on the team long got a ring or something else.

 

 

nowadays teams can afford to give everyone a ring it seems.

I read in an espn article that Phillies fans booed loudly when Hamels got the MVP. I realize others where probably more qualified, but really? If I were at Game 4 of our series and Selig walked Herm Schneider up there to give him the hardware I would not have cared. At least Hamels was responsible in large for 2 wins. Imagine Sox fans booing if Buehrle won it. I cannot picture that... Either way, I'm happy my other rooting interest won. Nowhere near the bliss of 2005, but much closer than any other team(s) combined could have provided. It was a great October.

A small part of me always wished we could of won it at home.

 

After the celebration for the divisional tiebreaker, I can only imagine what a World Title celebration would have been like.

I heard on the radio this morning that after game 4 was suspended and Selig was walking around the Phillie clubhouse Scott Eyre pointed at him with his thumb and said "Look at this f*** I wouldnt let him supervise one of my s***s".LOL
