That's the dream but after the way Ozzie has raved about Alexei's defense at short there's just no way they move him to center. Short is probably Alexei's until he leaves the organization.

In situation where Beckham plays short Alexei plays CF, who leads off?

Lillibridge 2B ?

Getz or Beckham.

Kroger plates two with a single.

Kroeger 2 run single. Swinging on first pitch fastball.

Man, Kroeger hits the ball hard. He looks hitterish.

Good job Josh.

Absolutely hitterish.

Note to Ozzie... give Kroeger some reps in CF... soon... so we can see how he looks out there.

Well, I'm not sure if he's played in center much. Has he? BB Cube just shows OF for his minor league time. Played there a couple games with the D-Backs.

Woah, Stefan Gartrell sighting in right. Kinda cool.

Scott Linebrink in.

Have I mentioned Jerry Owens is f***ing useless?

I want to see how Ozzie can justify him when he's .212 in late May. I mean really....

96 mph for Liney?

2005 top prospects for AZ

3. Sergio Santos

7. Josh Kroeger

In 2005, he was playing in AAA for the D-Backs and played almost 1/2 the time in CF (60 games in right; 50 games in center). Since then, he's played 1 season of AAA for the Philles and 2 seasons with the Cubs... almost exclusively in RF.

(I love minorleaguesplits.com)

Ackkk... the link doesn't work.

Just go to minorleaguesplits.com, type in the players name, click "defense", and then "games by position".

Edited by scenario

Kroeger had a good season in IOWA last year.

Linebrink induces the double play, gets out of it.

Post season form for Cubs

Liney gets the DP.

he's having a better spring than Brian Anderson.

He dominated AA with them from what I can remember with Soto and Marmol in 05. He was considered a good prospect for them. Why not check this kid out in CF?
