Bottom of the 9th. Bases loaded. Sox down one and season on the line. Who would be most clutch?

I'd want to know who the hell is managing the game and why one of these players are batting in that situation.

Maybe this could happen if it's the bottom of the 17th on the last day of the season after the rosters have expanded. If it did, I'd rather have it be Lillibridge because at least he's not Jerry Owens.

I'm bringing in Buehrle from the bullpen to pinch hit...

Pinch-hit with Betemit or Anderson.

Is Suicide an option?

Option 3

Anderson would be any managers last choice . Betemit, Kroeger (if he makes the team) or Miller

I'd take Anderson over Miller, Owens or Lillibridge.

Anderson would be Ozzie's last choice

Fixed. Oh and I'll take Owens. A groundball to the 2nd basemen can perhaps give us a prayer for an error than a guy who will strikeout and his big ears hearing every boo from the cell.

I really don't know what everyone was expecting from Lillibridge this spring. He hit .220 in AAA and .200 in the NL last year.

Agreed.

These Yankee fans out here say Betimit is pretty Damn clutch.

Where's the clutch one, Timo?

Can we just leave it vacant and take the 1st out?

I know the following story involved a video game, but i thought fellow Sox fans would love it.

Last week, i was playing MLB 09 The Show. Best of 7 Rivalry, I was the Sox and my friend (Rob) the Cubs. We were in game 6, and i had the series lead 3-2. Bottom of the 9th inning, 2 outs, Cubs leading 5-4. With 2 guys on, i had Jerry Owens up, and he was facing Marmol. I told Rob, "well this should be good, we're going to Game 7", when, wouldn't you know it, Owens pulls a Joe Carter, and hits a walk off, series ending homer.

Highly unrealistic in real life, yet still highly entertaining.

I was at that Memorial Day game against the Angels. Timo wins it in extras. And who could forget C'MON TIMO! ?

+1

My dog holding a bat in her mouth probably has a better chance of making contact than either.

If Owens and Lillibridge were the last 2 batters left on the bench, then definitely Owens.

I would probably tell him to lean in on the plate a little bit though, to increase his chances of getting on base by being hit by a pitch.

:lolhitting I can't help but imagine a golden retriever with a bat in it's mouth standing in the batter's box. :lolhitting
