Come on, triple.....

He would have to hit a gapper to deep right center that bounces around a whole lot, meanwhile, Granderson and Maggs would both have to trip over the grass and tumble a couple times for this to happen...

What happened in bottom of the 7th?

There was nonthing that suggested what Swisher went through last year was anything but a down year. I'm not suprised to see him hitting at a decent clip again.

Actually I'd say there are a number of things that suggested what Swisher went through last year could have been well more than a single down year.

What happened in bottom of the 7th?

DJ had a very easy, quick 1-2-3

Its not where you want to use your studs in the 6th inning either.

But im talking about the 7th. Come on, were you comfortable seeing him out there after the Tiggers loaded the bases with 1 out the previous inning off him?

Well he did have a triple last year and 2 stolen bases, still not sure how that happened.

What i'm trying to say is that career-wse he's been somewhat consistent, last year could have been the start of a decline, but i don't think the eventual decline will start till about two to three years. In short, last year Swish was bad, but he wasn't as bad as the numbers suggest.

Don't forget Paulie has an inside-the-park home run to his name haha

Boy, it would be nice if Alexei got his s*** together.

I wouldn't say comfortable, but even if the first guy gets on, you still can use your other guys. Its only April and you don't want to burn up your bullpen before the season really gets going.

They had a 4 run lead, I'm sure if a guy or 2 got on, they would have removed him. You cannot blow out your bullpen by the end of April.

But, a key part of why we were able to get him in the first place is that his #'s in 2007 were down from his #'s in 2006 as well. So you actually had a 2 year downward trend, starting from 2007.

He started off slow last year too. I think he'll be fine when the weather warms up.

good ole country hard ball from thornton right there

Good morning, Good afternoon, Good night.

given the 4 run lead, I'm not b****ing. But I hate to see the first two guys get on and then not even move up a base.
