DETROIT - It's just more than an hour before the scheduled first pitch, and the tarp has been pulled off the infield and groundscrew workers are preparing the field.

 

The skies are starting to brighten, so the White Sox's game at Detroit should start on time unless another storm approaches.

Not a fan of this righty dominant lineup, as Galarraga is one of the toughest pitchers in all of baseball against righties. This would have been a good game to get Betemit in the lineup, but I guess he's going to only start against LHP (yuck).

I don't think we want to see the Betemit defense at SS. Lillibridge is the only one who should replace Alexei.

I'd have no problem giving Betemit the start at 3B today. We're going to need offense with Contreras on the mound today, that's pretty much guaranteed.

Just to back up what I was saying, Galarraga held righties to an astounding .174 batting average last year, while lefties hit .267.
