Ever since the spring training game he botched at short, Betemit has not been looking to impressive. Floyd needs to pitch through this.

And he does.

gavin manning up

Our staff has the potential to be really f***ing good

I was at the Hawks game last night. Who pitched other than Buerhle and Carraso. With off day tomorrow the better pen guys shoudl get some work if need be.

I think it was just that freezing cold weather that messed with Floyd's game Monday. Otherwise, he has fairly decent control, although he did come unhinged a couple of times last year (especially in the 2nd half) where he would just completely lose his touch for the curve.

CB Bucknor looks a little bit like Obama.

All things aside, Lillibridge has to give Ozzie a mega-boner, as he's such a piranha.

I mentioned that in the game thread yesterday that I wouldn't mind seeing a Lilli/Getz 1-2 in the order. He's making it tough to keep him out of there. Maybe it'll be a wakeup call for Lexi too. I just hope Lilli's shagging some flys from center because at some point Ozzie will have to find a place to keep him in the lineup.

Colon's outing on Friday was 100 times better than the box score makes it look.

If gavin can get through the next inning will he be the first white sox pitcher this year to go 7 innings?

Iwamura's had a pretty meh couple of innings in the field.

The offense is lighting up, our pitching is solid and it seems we're looking at taking 3 of 4 from Tampa Bay. That's good s***.

Where was this in the 2008 ALDS?

08 all over again. We'll put 8 on you or zero.

It's fun. maybe Beckham changes the offensive culture here when he comes up. Imagine this kind of output with him up in the order

Sox starting to hit the ball hard and not trying to hit homers and look at the results.

I'm sure Boston fans asked that in 2006 when they kicked our ass in Fenway. 2008 Tampa had the magic we had in 2005.

Wilson!! Two straight days with the pity cheer from Hawk

Prediction...Anderson HR here. Or not.

It would have been a homer at the "Little K" in Kansas City, though.

But I guess their magic ended four games too early.

I might get ripped for this but I think it goes to show what's happening when all your top flight pitchers can go all out. Not to say Garza and Kazmir are holding back but I think when everything's ratcheted up a notch in the playoffs, you see true talent shine.

Don't look now, but we've hit the s*** out of the Rays in this series.

Keystone Kops there....

I dunno, we played like s*** in Tropicana last year.

Don't look now, but we DO have a fully capable and functional, though probably quite streaky, offense.

or what happens when Javy Vazquez is asked to pitch in a big series.

It seems like we've led almost every inning (except for 7-8-9 in Game 2) in this series...pretty close to dominance.

And the Yankees (hard to cheer for them) have taken the lead over the sorry Indians' bullpen 4-3. But good start by Pavano.

Of course, when we face the Angels...it will be against their Top 4 healthy starters. Sucks that Minnesota always seems to get the breaks with scheduling somehow.

Perkins with a 1.57 ERA so far on the season.
