Should ARam be at 3rd? Bad base running?

Yes, he froze on a grounder hit right at him.

Anyway, for Anderson, yes he made an out, but he put the ball in play on the first pitch. He didn't do too much with it, just got the RBI, didn't want to risk falling behind. Decent strategy.

Nothing like questionable HBP's for the Sox.

Exactly..perfect approach. As we talked about the other day, he has to use his selective approach selectively.

I think he did the right thing. Why risk making the 1st out at 3rd and take a guy out of scoring position.

I'd like to see it again though...

A productive at-bat? WHAAA?

And that would have been a sac fly. Do your thing CQ

COME ON, CQ!

HUGE inning for Contreras.

Remember how people were concerned that the memo would get out that he was always taking the first pitch to try to get ahead, and so people would start throwing him first pitch strike every time?

lol, "people"

It would have been really easy to get Alexei out at third on that grounder. If they wanted to get him they couldve

Carlos still doing nothing with runners in scoring position. For the record, I have not been gushing over him either.

Not a good inning!

Ok. By "people" i mean the 6 NSA computers set up to monitor this site and encourage anti-government rhetoric by posting random confusing ideas.

Jose doing exactly the opposite of what he should be. 4 pitch walk.

Basically no chance Roberts doesn't score. Contreras just isn't close to being on top of his game.

really. a 4 pitch walk.

QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Apr 21, 2009 -> 06:58 PM)
wait what

Could really have used that 2nd run.

Dreaded leadoff walk on 4 pitches to Roberts..before Markakis and Huff come up, not smart.

it's a miracle the orioles only have 2 runs, jose is just garbage right now

Richard and Thornton could do a ton of damage against this lineup.

It'll be a victory if Roberts doesn't steal second and third.

Izturis has been up in just the right spot for the Sox this game.
