Long term, if Clayton can't pitch more than 5 innings, he can't be a starter. It seems he always tires around the 5th outside those two good starts he had.

 

As long as we give him 9 runs of support, I guess he should be fine.

Patience is a virtue especially with young pitchers. Give him time. He's shows plenty of promise ,certainly better than Floyd was with the Phillies and look at Floyd now.
