July 4, 200916 yr Seriously what the hell is up with this guy. He wasn't pitching that awful, I believe his ERA was around 4. Then all of a sudden he goes to the DL with swelling in his knee. Since then I have heard absolutely nothing about him or his situation. Anyone got anything?
July 4, 200916 yr The numbers were real misleading No movement on the fastball and nothing but the fastball
July 4, 200916 yr Yeah, Princess is right basically, another has been off the scrap heap we thought could be more than a shadow of his former self and the last few starts he basically threw batting practice. He doesn´t have anything left in the tank.
July 4, 200916 yr I thinnk the theory was was spots 1,2, & 3 were locked up but we wanted to try Colon/Contreras for the 4th spot and groom Richard into the 5th. That was my take early in the season but it has certainly changed and for the better. At least for now.

He's down in Arizona... conditioning and working on pitches. I wouldn't be surprised to see him reappear later in the year.
July 4, 200916 yr QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 4, 2009 -> 01:26 PM) No fat or eating jokes yet? He's working on clearing out all the KFC's in the US... but in all seriousness his ERA was very misleading he could not pitch around errors and that led to way too many unearned runs
July 4, 200916 yr QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Jul 4, 2009 -> 01:02 PM) The numbers were real misleading No movement on the fastball and nothing but the fastball His two seem was dancing all over the place for the majority of his starts this season. His four seam is what had nothing on it.
July 4, 200916 yr QUOTE (The Beast @ Jul 4, 2009 -> 02:22 PM) I see a DFA in Bartolo Colon's future. QUOTE (elmo9246 @ Jul 4, 2009 -> 03:14 PM) He's working on clearing out all the KFC's in the US... A DFA 4 KFC.
July 4, 200916 yr He hasn't left the golden corral except to go to the bathroom, and grab a snack at taco bell.
July 4, 200916 yr QUOTE (letsgoarow @ Jul 4, 2009 -> 04:26 PM) He hasn't left the golden corral except to go to the bathroom, and grab a snack at taco bell. Ugh...Golden Corral. That place IS Hell.
July 5, 200916 yr dont you be stealing my hamburg...err, chicken sandwi...err, dont be stealing those!
July 5, 200916 yr Author QUOTE (letsgoarow @ Jul 4, 2009 -> 04:26 PM) He hasn't left the golden corral except to go to the bathroom, and grab a snack at taco bell. That reminds me of a story I heard out of cubs spring training a couple years ago where they couldnt find or get ahold of Daryle Ward apparently when they were about to have a game. Turns out he was like down the street eating a taco bell. Lol
July 7, 200916 yr According to Joe Cowley, as reported on Boers and Bernstein, KW has no clue as to the whereabouts of Bartolo Colon, who was supposed to make a start in Charlotte this week. I wonder if he’s pulling a similar stunt as Odalis Perez, where he wants to opt out or if this a legitimate concern.
July 7, 200916 yr Ah, nice merge. Sorry about that guys. I’m inclined to agree with the buffet comments.
July 8, 200916 yr At his above average skill level, he was one of the best big game pitchers I've seen.
