I usually make an effort to see all of the Best Picture nominees, but I really don't want to see The Blind Side.

Last Airbender looks promising. But where's Appa? Maybe they're leaving him out so he doesn't come off like a CGI cross between a buffalo and the Snuffelupagus from Sesame Street.

hopefully they dont reveal everything in the trailers. Holding back movie info in trailers is a lost art

Just watched The Hurt Locker. Very good stuff...

Is Jeremy Renner not the love child of Mark Buehrle and Daniel Craig? Wowsers!

I feel like I've been waiting for "Shutter Island" forever

You have. Ha

That movie has been pushed back so many times. I remember seeing the trailer for it over a year ago.

Read the book a few months ago, and unless they changed things in the movie a bit, I just think we've sort of already seen that dog and pony show before...

Got around to watching Public Enemies, finally.

Was pretty disappointed. Depp and Bale were solid, but I thought the plot (or execution of the plot) was pretty weak. I didn't find it suspenseful, didn't find it altogether exciting, did not feel any desire for the couple to be together, etc.

It was a decent movie with some local interest. Other than that it was crap.

Reddy was an extra in the theater scene.

Unfortunately, Reddy's outstanding performance as Best Extra in a Drama was not enough to save this film....;)

Neat. So was my next door neighbor.

Coming soon...

I just watched Let The Right One In. While I liked it, I was expecting a scarier movie. I could swear I have seen people say it was one of the scarier recent movies.

Most people I know who raved about just commented on well done it was, not how scary it was. I liked it much more after the 2nd viewing.

I don't think "scary" entered a single review of let the right one in I'd ever said or seen. I think the setting of Sweden did loads for the eeriness, the blood on the snow and the cold in general.

A ton of reviews called it "one of the top ___ horror films in the last ___ years."

To me it's a very well made movie that happens to have horror elements to it.

I thought it was supposed to be more of a psycholgical thriller as opposed to a horror movie. I didnt see it, but thats what i remember from the reviews I read(I think).

Watched Pandorum over the weekend. Pretty good science fiction horror flick. Kinda like Event Horizon.

It's not as good as Even Horizon, but it has that same kinda of feel. Losing your mind in space.

Home from work today, guess I will finally watch District 9 which I have had from Netflix for a week.
