I think he's done a very good job handling his bullpen this year.

He's been terrible at just that. Every other night I see facebook statuses about his horrible managing.

because .190 1 hr screams starter. I don't care who's pitching, or what the f***ing matchups are.....YOU CAN'T DO WORSE THAN WISE. The guy should never....NEVER START A GAME. Giving him 3 to 4 at bats a game is giving up that spot in the lineup....I'd rather throw the starting pitcher out there to hit.

Too bad the Tigers aren't pulling away. I'd hate for KW to gut the farm to give us a chance to get swept in the 1st round of the playoffs, kicking the ball all over the field and embarrassing ourselves.

It's a damn shame the Cubs had enough balls to fire Gerald Perry even though the cubs offense was near the top last year, and wasn't THAT bad this year. I still don't think that was the right move but they made it.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again.... I'd love to see a complete overhaul of our coaching staff.

 

Keep Ozzie as manager (he ain't going anywhere for a while unless he quits). Don Cooper is in the clear, he's been really good for us for a long time.

 

Walker would be the first casualty. He's been the hitting coach for an offense that has been much too inconsistent for a very long time. You gotta wake these guys up. Not sure who to replace him with, maybe Chris Chambliss (he's currently the manager for Charlotte).

 

Next would be to fire Cox or demote him from 3B coach. He seems like a good baseball guy but he has no business being the 3B coach.

 

I'd get rid of Cora or at least demote him back to 3B. I don't know, I just get the feeling that he is a yes man to Ozzie.

 

I'd move Baines from 1B coach, but try and keep him with the organization. Maybe move him to 3B coach. For a 1B coach, I want someone who has a history of being a great base stealer who knows the technique (Pods would a good option at 1B when he retires). I always thought Rickey Henderson would be a great fit at 1B coach if he wasn't so f***ing crazy.

 

As for bench coach, not sure. I think Rockin Robin would be a good option.

Our front 3 in the rotation give us a good shot in the playoffs, and if Contreras is on, then we have a shot against anyone. But the defense and hitting have not been there.
