The Padres have agreed to a deal with the White Sox that would send Jake Peavy to Chicago for a package of minor leaguers.

 

Peavy must agree to waive a no-trade clause for the deal to go through.

 

Why would he say yes now?!?

Him being hurt might severely reduce the cost for acquiring him. I like this. As long as we keep Flowers and one of Richard/Poreda.

Not sure what to make of this, but SI's Jon Heyman tweeted that Padres pitcher Jake Peavy was dealt to the White Sox again. Heyman is not sure if Peavy OK'd it. He says the Padres get minor leaguers. Peavy is currently recovered from a torn ankle tendon.
