August 1, 200916 yr the big mystery of 09 will be the 5th starter till Peavy is healthy. 1-0 in the conquest.
August 1, 200916 yr Interesting how the team's two weaknesses (scoring runs and bullpen) became strengths in the wake of the Peavy deal. Even if Peavy doesn't pitch for another two months, that confidence boost from Kenny may have completely changed this team's morale.
August 1, 200916 yr Twins folding like Superman on laundry day right now, down 7-5 with the bases loaded and no out against the Angels, top 11.
August 1, 200916 yr That was a gutsy game. Great performances from many. Linebrink still looks terrible, his stuff just looks flat, but outside of that, it was a great performance. A nice balanced offensive attack...you can't ask for much more than that.

Even if Peavy doesn't pitch for another two months, that confidence boost from Kenny may have completely changed this team's morale. It was nice, but let's have perspective, it's nice against Sergio Mitre and the like, but then let's not go over the edge if the offense struggles against Burnett/Sabathia Great to see TCQ coming back. Great bullpen work and work on the fly by Ozzie in a tough spot. Great approach from the Sox offense in general (started early when guys like AJ going oppo, looking for base hits, etc) Peace out for the night everyone! August 1, 200916 yr The entire team played well. A plus for the bullpen, although I wouldn't have put Linebrink in for the top of the 9th. I don't have much faith in him.
August 1, 200916 yr It was a pleasure seeing the Sox actually be smart/successful on the base paths. The double steal to score Nix was great. I only got to watch from the 6th inning on, but we sure looked good.

August 1, 200916 yr I LOVE speed. That 7th inning was so fun to watch. Sometimes, you have to force the other team's hand.
August 1, 200916 yr Man, the Yankees have looked BAD. Glad to see us put more than 5 runs on the board.
August 1, 200916 yr QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 31, 2009 -> 11:09 PM) Tigers lose. Sox back in second, 1.5 back. This is what is known as a good day. Wrong...It's a VERY good day.
