Beckham needs to go back to the bottom 3rd of the order. He seemed more comfortable there with less pressure on him.

The 09 Chicago WHite Sox don't get big hits with men on base.

Period.

Wrong. Period.

So when did Gordo quit trying to drive the ball the other way? That was what made him so effective.

I think Dumpster overmatched the rookie on nothing but changeups and got GB to pull one to 3rd

That's what I want to know about it

He's been pretty bad in the 2-hole actually.

The Indians have tied it up in the 8th! :D

I'd like to see us get some more runs. That would be nice.

Peavy, care to expand? We don't get hits with men on base.

Crazy catch by Wise.

easy as weezy

Sadly that is the White Sox mantra.......I thought one thing about Rios was he did not strike out often.......

Sure we do. Did you miss the game winning hit 24 hours ago?

When they stopped throwing the ball over the outside of the plate and started coming in on him. He finally adjusted and has been hammering that pitch over the last few games, but now he is not even looking to hit that right-center gap anymore. He needs to keep both pitches in mind, and as Rock said, lay off that damn high heat.

Its not the pressure. Its his approach. When he starts getting back to more line drives to right and right center he will be fine. His power has gone up, however he is getting out in front of the ball more and that makes him less effective.

Something about sunshine and a dog's ass comes to mind when thinking about this.

Its what keyed his run from the low .200's to up over .310. Once he quit, he quickly has come back down. He has great hand speed, and there is no reason he couldn't live out there.

That was a good hit Peavy. I should never say never, but a weakness of our team this year is clutch hitting.

Agreed 100%

When Greg Walker gave him hitting advice.

Lol, beat me to it

Carlos Torres has come dangerously close to walking Ryan Dempster twice. That's totally unnecessary.

Why is Dumpster mowing us down? Can we get 3 this inning?

Our bullpen is going to eventually break our hearts if we don't get some more runs!!!

exactly, now they are starting to throw more soft s*** in, and high heat. He has to now adjust to THAT as well. Its a work in progress. As he develops more power with all of those inside they will go back over the outside corner and he will spray them that direction again.
