Unrealistic expectations and hope are not the hallmark of being a fan.

Expectations of your team and hope that they win are not indicative of being a fan? Really? What is? b**** and moaning and constantly saying negative comments about the players, coaches and front office?

I hope the Sox average three hit batters a game the next time the Royals come to town.

Sit down you overpaid hack.

If you don't think the Sox can make the playoffs, then take it elsewhere. The rest of us remain optimistic.

HE GONE! Let's go Carlos!

way to get out of it.

Nice work Carlos.

Some people call blind hope "being a cub fan."

Eh not really.

The Cubs are in one of the weakest divisions in baseball and generally outspend the majority in excess of $20mil per season. There is absolutely no reason Cubs fans shouldnt think that they are NL Central contenders every year.

Some of us saved the incessant b****ing for our play during the 2-8 lay down and die road trip. We were very supportive before that. Now it's up to the team to win us back.

Nice job, Torres.

The difference between perception and reality the optomistic fan sees a chance to win until you are eliminated. The pessismistic fan see the season as it has played out thus far and feelsthat it will continue.

Neither is a lesser of a fan in my book.

Hope is much different than expectation. If you expect the Sox to win the division at this point, you are delusional.

Anybody get their SI in the mail yesterday? Holy s*** this thing is 5lbs!!

Way to go Torres!!

Torres pitches through adversity. That's a good thing right there I tell you

You're not a Sox fan. :lolhitting

Have we had any posts yet about what-if Torres was in the pen 1/2 way thru the year?

If not, let me be the first. We need RHP kenny, cmon. Relievers either have a good year or a bad year, and part of your job is knowing when yr guys are failing.

Yeah. It is a hobby of mine to waste 60,000 posts on a team I hate :headbang

Either Torres is good or the Cubs offense just blows.

Who's on the cover?

Oz gonna play small ball here?

Nice hit, Lexi!!!

Feels like this is a spring training game.

Neither team really cares anymore.

Hoping they do and expecting they play well and win is being a fan. Spending one's time watching something that they think is hopeless is complete insanity and a waste of your time.

Little from Column A, little from Column B.

Who's on the cover?

Aaron Rogers

You know what's really retarded? Arguing that other people aren't true fans.
