Overbay is really not a power bat though.

Not much at all... career average about 70 times a year... he can still hit .300+ 25 HR 100RBI if healthy all year and at DH I think he can. I'd take him over Thome at this time in there careers.

I'm pretty sure Adam Laroche is looking for WAY more money than he is worth. Something like a two year deal for $20mil.

 

Not saying he will get it, but that seems to price him out of the White Sox plans.

would be cool to bring in another middle of the order hitter. Kind of neutral on the Pierre thing, only due to the 10.5m that's coming with him, I think with 81 games in the Cell the Sox need 1 more power hitter

Can't strike out when most of the time you ground out on the first pitch that is in the dirt. Vlad doesn't have the bat speed he used to have. It would be annoying for me to watch him bat when he is really struggling.
