So the Royals are paying Anderson 200k more than we are paying Andruw Jones?

good to see that he's humble about the opportunities he wasted. Hope he does well.

Clarification: he has been after his disastrous 2007 season when he almost saw his career go up in flames and was completely forgotten about.

Sounds about right to me.

I am sure its because of the high ceiling and great potential he has. Maybe he will suddenly change and concentrate on baseball rather than women, or maybe he will cut down on his swing or maybe the coaching in KC is better than ours. I am sure there will be some moronic explanation of why he has failed, because it couldn't be because he sucks.

This might have been a popular rebuttal in 2006 or 2007. Now? I think we all realize Brian is a bust of a prospect with the maximum upside of a 4th outfielder.

Yep. I think the Brian Anderson defenders have gone the way of the American Indian.

Sorry just wanted to make sure their weren't any kiss asses still lingering.

It's been a dead issue for a while - people (like me) wanted him to get another chance, he got his chance, he blew it and never did anything special for the Sox so that's that.

Will we give him a standing O before his first Ab at the Cell? ;)

It depends on whether he strikes out swinging on a "down and away" pitch or not.

Dewayne Wise accomplished more than BA in half the time in a Sox uniform.. and he got a minor league deal.
