September 4, 201015 yr Ground rule double, 2:0 bottom first. We're gonna have to sweep to keep up tonight. Edited September 4, 201015 yr by justBLAZE
September 4, 201015 yr This Twins lineup is brutal (compared to what they normally have). However, they just find ways to keep winning.
September 4, 201015 yr QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Sep 4, 2010 -> 03:37 PM) lol 5 runs on 2 outs. that's how the Twins do it. Alright, guys, can we just stop with the "That's how the Twins do it" and "Wow, the Twins don't ever make an error (false) or choke in games (false) or play lousy (false)" or "Goddamn, I want to suck the Twins dong!" It's getting like listening to Hawk in here. They're a damn good team, and they play that way -- but that's as far as it should go. Not picking on you, WilliamTell.

I hear you, but I also watch basically every Twins game since I'm in their area. I see how many so called lucky breaks they get, but they also take advantage of them.
September 4, 201015 yr QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Sep 4, 2010 -> 03:43 PM) I hear you, but I also watch basically every Twins game since I'm in their area. I see how many so called lucky breaks they get, but they also take advantage of them. No problem. They're opportunistic -- good farm system and excellent field manager, no question. And they've fielded a better lineup than us all year. But I distinctly remember them pissing away the division to us the last weekend of 2008, looking so feeble against Danks in Game 163 (including having one of their "heady" players get thrown out at home by a convalescent 38-year old centerfielder), and -- as recently as this week -- blow a huge lead to the Tigers on Thursday night. So, as great as our perception of them often is, they do suck sometimes.
September 4, 201015 yr I didn't see the lineups, is Hamilton playing? Rangers sure ain't July/August hot, they always fade.

September 4, 201015 yr Thome makes it 6:0, doubt Rangers are coming back from this one. They will win tomorrow tho, gotta sweep the Red Sox.
September 4, 201015 yr QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Sep 4, 2010 -> 04:22 PM) Thome makes it a 9:0 game, 3 run shot. *yawn* Piling on now . . . high-water mark for the Twins this year? We shall see.
September 4, 201015 yr Please tell me Lee is pitching tomorrow so they have a shot at winning a game. Nevermind. Bad back. Edited September 4, 201015 yr by Brian
September 4, 201015 yr CJ Wilson vs Nick Blackburn. Lee is missing a start because of injury. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 4, 2010 -> 05:27 PM) Please tell me Lee is pitching tomorrow so they have a shot at winning a game.
September 4, 201015 yr QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 4, 2010 -> 04:30 PM) Lee is missing a start because of injury. The way he's been pitching lately, it's probably a good thing he's missing the start regardless.
September 5, 201015 yr QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 4, 2010 -> 02:38 PM) playing like a team in control of its own destiny The White Sox control their own destiny as well.
September 5, 201015 yr QUOTE (Benchwarmerjim @ Sep 5, 2010 -> 11:03 AM) Ben Revere called up for AA New Britian, Matt Fox DFAed Wow! How rude! Dude pitches 5 2/3 solid innings for you and you DFA him? Ha, the realities of a pennant race...
