March 14, 201016 yr QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 14, 2010 -> 12:15 AM) Glad I was out and didnt come in this foul b**** fest as the OSU Illanoy game went on. The illinois hack fest was on full display tonight. Love to see Minny kick the s*** out of Purdue, that was fantastic. Now only Minny needs to win to get 6 in the tourney. Yeah I dont see how you call it an Illinois hack fest, overall the game was called pretty fairly. Only issue I had was the intentional foul call and than when Turner committed a foul that was a no call that lead to Tisdale picking up his 5th foul. But, when there are really only 2 complains about a game that means the refs did a pretty damn good job.

March 14, 201016 yr I dont think the Big 10 gets 6 tournament teams. I think that either Minnesota or Illinois are in, but not both.
March 14, 201016 yr We're playing like s*** so far, but OSU hasn't really done anything to pull away. Hopefully we'll start limiting these mistakes and actually executing on offense.
March 14, 201016 yr FWLIW Most people have Illinois and Minnesota in right now. Frankly after looking at the other bubble teams I can't say Illinois would be screwed if they don't get in but they are certainly more deserving than teams like Utah St. who didn't beat anyone all year.
March 14, 201016 yr QUOTE (Felix @ Mar 14, 2010 -> 02:37 PM) Great job answering the mini-run by OSU here. Let's keep this up. Seems like the entire game has been mini-runs, honestly.
March 14, 201016 yr QUOTE (Felix @ Mar 14, 2010 -> 03:51 PM) Time for another answer. We can't let this get out of hand. Or not
March 14, 201016 yr SLOW DOWN OSU, jeesh....under was looking really good, now, not so much anymore...
March 14, 201016 yr Yuck. I took the under and OSU hits 11 straight field goals....man, this under looked golden at the 11 minute mark...
March 14, 201016 yr QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Mar 14, 2010 -> 04:07 PM) Minnesota has no answers for OSU. They have too many offensive options. Nice run for the Gophers in the tourney, but four games in four days is tough for anyone, especially when you play the 3 co-champions all in a row. I still think we should be in the NCAAs, but I guess it's out of our hands now.
March 14, 201016 yr I def. think Illinois is a better team than Minnesota, but while saying that, there is no way Illinois should be in the tournament over them because they beat Illinois in Champaign. If that makes sense. Edited March 14, 201016 yr by maggsmaggs
March 14, 201016 yr This isn't meant to be sour grapes (or anything along those lines), but am I the only one that thinks OSU was being fairly classless this game by keeping their starters in while up 20+ points with like 3 minutes to go? I try not to root for injuries to players, but I certainly wouldn't shed a tear if they had been seriously injured.

Be happy your team made a good run in the tourney.
March 14, 201016 yr QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 14, 2010 -> 04:29 PM) LOL really? He took the starters out at the 2 min mark, big deal. Be happy your team made a good run in the tourney. He took them out with ~1:30 to go, despite having a comfortable 20+ point lead with 4+ minutes to go. Rather than resting his players, he decided to curbstomp the Gophers and teabag them afterward. It's life, and it's certainly his decision to make, but it really sums up why every other team in the Big 10 thinks Thad Matta is a prick.
March 14, 201016 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 14, 2010 -> 04:36 PM) Any truth to Tubby Smith being all but out the door? None whatsoever.
