His old one hasn't worked that great for him either, since 2006. His talent level, he ought to be a heck of a lot better of a hitter than what he has been.

He's not good defensively. Offensively he's average. I wouldn't worry too much about his struggles.

He's not a very good player, so I'm not surprised when he plays poorly, but It's still just spring training.

I left out the choice "Teahen and Mike Sweeney begin a joint venture 'The Bash Brothers of Catholic Chastity' and tour the nation speaking to youth groups."

This is a bit worse than "poor" his OPS is below .300 right now and he looks lost both at the plate and in the field but regardless, it's only 23 spring ABs.

He can suck all spring training as long as he hits solid the past few games. That should help his confidence and hopefully build some momentum for the season.

Yeah, I agree with this. I think it's the last 5 games that really matter. How many games are left? I have had zero time to follow spring baseball so far.

Pretty damn early to be making that call considering he hasn't played a single (relevant) game for the them yet.
