Well I'd include the link here, but I don't think we have one right now. Usually there has been a link on the front page but that has been removed too.

EDIT (link):

He needs word on the chatroom yo

This would be very koolio if chat were up.

They are trying to merge the antique software that is the chat room of preference with the updated server.

So, far Grandpa chat server has been telling Kid Soxtalk to get off his lawn.

Kap is efforting to get it workable by tomorrow.

go chat go

A working chat server might just be the driving influence to bring me back from the dead.

Is that an Easter reference?

Anyone who accessed the chat via a secomdary program last year can do the same tomorrow, I assume.

Ima miss out this whole week, but I'll be on next week with the regulars to bother. :)

i hope the chat is iPad friendly :canada

I would hope so. IRC chat >>>>>> java chat

Of course, I don't remember what network it was on.. so if someone had that info, I'd give them some sugar.

Yea, I suck. And it pisses me off.

I will work on it tonight but no promises.

Snap. You f***ing rock.

That will work - but I'll still work on a soxtalk gateway to IRC... but at least there's no urgency now.

Oh, and I am going to go ahead and put this link in the first post of the thread so people can reference.

Actually I really am an idiot. If you have IRC, just go into any of the random servers and login to the soxtalk.com channel.

I'm on it. I'm checking out something a little more functional right now to see if it's worth it.

Thank you, sir.

I just edited my post above this one. You can use mIRC to access any server and just go into that channel.

BD, if you want me to host it here, let me know what you're downloading (I think when I was downloading a client I kept getting f'ed up ones because every one I downloaded kept hanging up when I went to install). If you want to keep it on your end, that's cool too. Doesn't make a damn bit of difference to me.

I appreciate your help... but ya'll just remember you can access this through any server that's connected on the mIRC menu that allows access.

I'll get back to you. The one I'm looking at has a lot more admin features and it looks like it'll link to the SoxTalk mysql database - which means the login here will coincide with the login there. If it does that, I'm 99% sure that the files will need to be hosted on your server.

I'm installing it now on my end and looking at exactly how much it does.

Do you all really want to do that? It's up to you guys.

I couldn't help myself. I was just excited to log back in. I'm a dumb f***er (well, I'm old and I forget things).

I love IRC, but it's a pain, and it isn't user friendly. I'll toss a link up when I have it all ready and you all can decide from there.

I hear that.

I was going to get the chat software that connects with invision, but my understanding was even though it's a pain in the ass, IRC was still preferred. Again, I defer to you all - I'll help however I can (even though I've been horrifically short on time the last couple of weeks and I know I'm swamped for the next couple, but I will make this a priority... at least for now you all have something...)
