Back when he did it, there was no precedent for going overseas, so you can't really claim that as an option. Not to mention the fact that these guys are for the most part, astonishingly dumb, he just happened to get caught. I don't believe for 1 second that the majority of the guys in big colleges deserve to be there academically. The system is broke and these are the consequences of it unfortunately, still doesn't change the fact that he should have been allowed to play in the NBA at 18 instead of 19

Not to mention I highly, highly doubt many people have even heard of Tyreke Evans, in fact.. I would bet other than true basketball fans, a common guy/fan wouldn't know who the hell he is.

f***ing sweet. I'd love Thibo. I'd like Doc or Phil better, but if that can't happen I'm perfectly content with Thibo.

I almost hesitate to say this, but I actually feel like I'd rather wind up with a very good coach and scheme rather than a crappy, Lebron-approved coach and scheme.

 

If he wants to come to Chicago, no more of this "Lebron's people run the team" crap that Cleveland's been running out there the last few years to try to make him happy.

The Celtics look awful. The Lakers MVP for the first quarter was Tony Allen.

I have no idea how the Celtics are only down 4. They look as bad as they did the last 20 games of the regular season.

If this is the best Boston has to offer then this series is over in 4. Paul Pierce looks fat and slow. KG looks like he's about 45. They're getting outplayed every way imaginable. Makes you wonder how overrated the Cavs and Magic really were. Like I said a couple weeks ago, one can only hope that Lebron is looking at Kobe's current situation and absolutely seething.

(and I would like to say he should have been hired 2 years ago, but then again.. this is our organization) Good call by DBAH0 advocating this for two years for us as well. I like Thibs, and a big rumor (hope it is true) that Mo Cheeks might join us as an assistant (and Ron Adams... careful Joakim...) as well. (which can only help Rose and who was my 1st choice for weeks before Thibo-mania stepped in)

Tom Thibodeau, the former Knick assistant coach, is close to finalizing a deal to become the next coach of the Chicago Bulls an NBA source told the Daily News.

 

Thibodeau, currently an assistant with the Celtics, was in negotiations last night with Chicago team officials. Thibodeau had been the leading candidate to take the Hornets job but passed for a chance to coach the Bulls.

 

In fact, former Knick first-round pick Monty Williams, an assistant with Cortland, is now considered the top choice the top choice to coach the Hornets.
