Indeed. I'm not worried about Rios this year but if Carlos can somehow get into a groove it would really change the complexion of this offense.

He used to be a damn good center fielder. He can still be a decent corner outfielder, I think. It's just that his legs are shot, his speed is completely gone.

When Wells first came into the league he was one of the best CFs around...then along with everything else, his game went to crap for the last 2-3 years. Looks like he's rededicated himself to working hard and his defense may have improved recently right along with his offense.

If anything, I think Wells' defense is overrated.
