December 21, 201114 yr QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Dec 21, 2011 -> 12:42 AM) Retirement I assume for sure! that's gotta be it. Edited December 21, 201114 yr by SouthSideTeacher
December 21, 201114 yr QUOTE (kev211 @ Dec 20, 2011 -> 10:42 PM) 5 years 94 million. $94.8 million. Basically an average of $19 mil a year.
December 21, 201114 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 21, 2011 -> 08:30 AM) $94.8 million. Basically an average of $19 mil a year. Can he just have the 94 mil and I'll take the .8?
December 21, 201114 yr QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 20, 2011 -> 11:27 PM) I agree that depth in the regular season, especially a condensed season, will be beneficial. But in the playoffs, when it's time to see LeBron, Wade and Bosh, that depth means next to nothing. Unless that lack of depth leads to someone like Wade wearing down and getting hurt... Again.

December 21, 201114 yr Author I really love this team. Boozer does indeed seem lighter on his feet, Deng is really stepping up into a legit #2 role, and Rip Hamilton creates something fierce. Please, please stay healthy.

December 21, 201114 yr Author QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 21, 2011 -> 09:29 AM) What a difference one pre-season game makes huh? Kinda said the same thing after the first one... kinda said the same stuff all last season. Rip Hamilton was obviously an upgrade, that was never not my opinion. I just wanted the Bulls to aim higher this offseason. However, every game is must-watch, and I fully expect, if healthy, that the Bulls will show even better this year than last.

December 21, 201114 yr Author QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 21, 2011 -> 10:01 AM) how has noah looked? Not really active on offense, but he had a bunch of blocks last night (5). He looks healthy.
December 21, 201114 yr QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 21, 2011 -> 09:29 AM) What a difference one pre-season game makes huh? Seriously trying to temper my enthusiasm after two fairly "meaningless" preseason games, but they just plain look solid and in sync. Sure, I'd rather the upgrade at SG was more significant, and I preferred a more significant move as opposed to the conservative one that was made, but if they can play together like a machine throughout the season, use their depth to their advantage, and have a guy really step up to help Rose, this can be a very special season. They just may have the TEAM to beat a less-cohesive trio of stars...
December 21, 201114 yr I still keep dreaming about that pacers game when rose was knocked out. Noah took the offense on his shoulders it felt like, and I loved it. He's so capable of it. I want him to do it.

December 21, 201114 yr According to Spanish magazine Marca, there are rumors about a Boozer/Korver for Gasol trade...use google translation since the article is in Spanish.I doubt it happens but if it does, that would be enough to put us over Miami IMO. http://www.marca.com/2011/12/21/baloncesto...1324465328.html

That would open the floor up something fierce.
December 21, 201114 yr QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 21, 2011 -> 11:29 AM) The Lakers would be insane to even consider something like that. I agree, but the Lakers gave away Odom for next to nothing so hopefully they are in a charitable mood
December 21, 201114 yr Doesn't Gasol's contract expire next year? That should get you more than Boozer + Korver.
December 21, 201114 yr Maybe Pau is pissy about the failed trade like Odom was. Still, there's no way.
December 21, 201114 yr It would make sense if it included other pieces. The Bulls would be a perfect 3rd team to a trade that netted LA Dwight. Maybe Orlando has no interest in Gasol.
December 21, 201114 yr QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 21, 2011 -> 11:50 AM) Hypothetical question: If the lakers asked for boozer + noah would you do it? Yes, long as you can resign him. Asik slides in decently enough for Noah, Noah's health always questionable. Instant favorite for the title i'd think.
