The Hawks are middle of the pack and until their stars start playing like it (I'm staring you in the f***ing eye, Hossa and Kane and Keith and Seabrook) they aren't going to be any better.

Even better.

But yeah, there are problems with the tail end of the lineup, but if they don't figure it out at the top, they aren't going anywhere.

They need to make some hay with all these home games this month - 6 left, only 2 road. If they are still at the same spot going into February, it's going to be a large hill to climb.

Yeah, we really need our big boys to do some damn heavy lifting. Toews and Sharp are the only ones playing remotely well.

You stay classy Ben Eager...

Sadly that's what the Hawks are missing though this year. Not a cheap-shot artist, but someone who is not afraid to mix it up and brings that toughness. John Scott is just too awful as a player to be a worth a damn.

For one night, the Hawks reminded everyone how good they can be when clicking on all cylinders.

Ilya Kovalchuk is -29 on the season. Wow.

And had one of the worst penalty shots of all time....at ANY level. Things haven't gone too well for him in NJ.

Sharpie makes the All-Star team, as does Kaner.

How does Kane make the team?

That.

It's still dumb. He's no All-Star this year. Sharp getting in is great, though.

Mason Raymonds SO goal last night was pure awesomeness.

Ho-hum, another day, another shutout for Corey Crawford.

Sweet move, I hadn't caught that one.

The question is with Crawford do you attempt to re-sign him now, or do you risk another Niemi situation happening?

I think if you can get him locked up on a multiyear deal for anything under than $2M a season, you pull the trigger.

It would all depend on what the cap space looks like going forward. If we have more disaster impending, I don't now if you can.

The Niemi situation proved that paying some goaltenders is a bad idea.

Crawford, I think we need to see more, though he's been exceptional this season.

It also makes you wonder if it is the goaltender, or the system, when it comes to Coach Q.

Well, Marty Turco sure as s*** hasn't enjoyed "the system" so who knows right now!

See Huet, Cristobal as well. Maybe its the system, as long as you are under the age of 33?
