Elbow, not shoulder

Regardless of what it is, that looked REALLY bad. Hopefully Hudson can do his thing.

Looks to be serious... no way Peavy takes himself out if it wasn't....

I heard this Cliff Lee guy might be available?

Cowley tweets Hudson's last start lines up perfectly w/ this

I honestly think we still need a bat more even if Peavy is out for a while. Our pitching is that good and our hitting is that bad.

I couldn't tell you what happened, the game is on WCIU.

This is terrible news. But I agree, getting a bat is more important than getting Cliff Lee.

I feel like somebody just shot my confidence.

If it's a surgery type injury, it sucks on how much it will impact the Sox next year as well.

Let's hope it wasn't as bad as it looked. Because if it was, it probably is a surgery type injury that affects us into next year.

Buster_ESPN: Heard this: The Lee trade talks are "heating up" according to a source with some teams interested in adding the lefty ASAP.

This was minutes after Jake went down. How quick is Kenny?

Ok semi-serious but maybe?

No thanks on Lee, we'd still have holes in our offense and then no prayer of extending Lee. I think Hudson can be a decent #5 starter.

After watching Zumaya roll around in pain for 10 min a couple days ago, sounds like he just strained something. AS break couldn't be more perfect.

Our best trading chip is gonna have to take Peavy's rotation spot, so that could hurt our odds to get a bat.

Exactly, I think Hudson will be fine as a #5. Honestly, I think the key is Garcia. If he can continue to pitch well, we'll be fine.

Just had Cubs fans friends texting me if I'd trade Peavy for Z straight up right now after seeing JFP's arm possibly fall off. I still said f*** no.

To be honest I think we need a big bat now more than ever.

The quality of our pitching just went down, I like Hudson but no one expect him to be an ace, that means we'll need more run support.

Yep, that's the key. If he implodes, we're in trouble.

I think we know what we have to do: trade Noah and get Prince Fielder in a sign-and-trade.

Allow me to pose this very pessimistic question (I know, surprising): How deflating would it be to lose Peavy for the season after doing so much in the last three weeks to climb right into the thick of things?

That's just depressing to even think about.

I saw this too, and I thought about it, but decided it was a complete coincidence. He tweeted it 8 minutes after Peavy got hurt.. probably took him at least 2 to type it.

Especially with Clayton Richard pitching so well.
