That Peavy injury really, really hurt us

YES INDEED!

"incredibly good year"

whoa, whoa.

incredible for an old fifth starter with little stuff

May be a good day to use Jenks..this game is ova

Sweet, here comes Pena in to hang more sliders. This one is looking like a loss.

Gotta love making an offensively inept lineup look good

So -- anyone rethinking Hudson availability?

Are you rethinking the playoffs? With Peavy out it shouldn't even be under consideration.

Ugh. Might have to go find something better to do this afternoon.

He shouldn't be available in the first place.

Essentially just restating my question.

nice play Beckham.

Nice defensive play from Gordon

If we limit them to the 5 runs then I like or chances to come back.

When Pena comes in, the air of surrender always accompanies him....The Sox don't have anyone in their farm system that can get 3 people out in an inning without the opposition scoring> What an indictment.

If we keep it within three runs I'll still have some confidence. Mazzaro has looked like s***. He's hanging sliders on par with Pena. We can perhaps get two, three runs off of him and then take our chances with their bullpen.

The Pena bashing is pointless, he has saved us at least 4 times this year with 3+ IP outings

We should be down a lot more...can't have any 1-2-3 offensive innings. A's bullpen is pretty good, even without Bailey.

Agreed. People posting solely out of frustration. He came in and gave up a double, then got a ground out and strikeout. What do people want.

The White Sox are 9-5 in games Tony Pena has pitched in since June. He's 2-0 in that time frame.

I want him to stop hanging so many sliders. Almost all of the damage against him comes on that pitch, it seems.

Pena's usually pretty good in these kind of games.

Agreed. And it begs the question. Who did you want to come in? Threets I guess?

How the f*** was that last pitch a strike?

My ears hurt

I don't think I've ever seen Konerko look so clueless against offspeed pitches as I have since the ASB.
