I haven't been able to follow a game for the past few weeks. I guess I picked a nice time.

I'm sorry, but in the first game, there were two terrible managerial decisions made. Letting Kotsay hit vs a LHP in the 5th, and keeping Thornton in for a 3rd inning.

I think leaving Gavin in the sixth or seventh whatever it was after he put the first two on with a one-run lead was worse than both of those.

He's going to end up hitting .300

as bad as the Kotsay move was the Pierre move makes up for it somewhat

All I want are fastball strikes who cares the result

He'll probably end up with an OBP over .350 and 60+ stolen bases. He's just been great this year.

Consider his miserable start and you realize just how good he's been since the beginning of June.

Hawk, who in the hell is Johnny Castino?

You've never heard a good Johnny Castino story?

Catfish's neighbor

With any type of knee injury, it doesn't seem like we'll see Putz for a while. I guess Linebrink is the 2nd righty set-up man now after Santos?

I feel good about Jackson going tomorrow and extending this to a 2 game winning streak. Freddy on the other hand....*sigh*

So did Mark earn his nickname M56 tonight?

Freddy looks like he needs to retire....or take really long shower.

This Jenks inning is why Putz should've started the 8th

The Sox could really be tied by next Thursday if they get good pitching. I think the Sox will fare well at home against the O's and in KC and the Twins play the Halos and Rangers I believe

Hey, we outscored the Twins 23-14 in this 3 game series :headbang

The cornerstones of the Sox with a much-needed dominating performance.

Looked like a strained calf muscle

he was touching his knee

Hopefully Putz just tweaked it and came out because it was a big lead and he figured no need to push it.

HUGE lift - on to KC to beat their AAA squad.

He couldn't push off his right leg, so the lack of velocity is worrisome.

.292/.364/.341 since May 1. We can obviously ignore the slugging percentage. And he's 38/49 in stolen base attempts in this span. Combine that with his great defense all year, and there's really nothing to complain about.

The WS don't fare well against bad teams (see Orioles and Cleveland)....this KC series is pivotal!

No DeJesus, Guillen or Pods. Do they have anyone left that can hit?

Billy Butler. And Alex Gordon has been swinging a pretty hot stick. Besides that? Yeah, it's bad.

Anything but a sweep would be a major failure.

They also have Northstar's wet dream...

Last time we played them at Kauffman they took two out of three. We don't seem to be playing all that well there. I'd be surprised if we sweep.
