I'm sorry, but in the first game, there were two terrible managerial decisions made. Letting Kotsay hit vs a LHP in the 5th, and keeping Thornton in for a 3rd inning.

I think leaving Gavin in the sixth or seventh whatever it was after he put the first two on with a one-run lead was worse than both of those.

He's going to end up hitting .300

as bad as the Kotsay move was the Pierre move makes up for it somewhat

He'll probably end up with an OBP over .350 and 60+ stolen bases. He's just been great this year.

Consider his miserable start and you realize just how good he's been since the beginning of June.

.292/.364/.341 since May 1. We can obviously ignore the slugging percentage. And he's 38/49 in stolen base attempts in this span. Combine that with his great defense all year, and there's really nothing to complain about.

Last time we played them at Kauffman they took two out of three. We don't seem to be playing all that well there. I'd be surprised if we sweep.
