That start a week ago has overshadowed how awful he's been lately.

Lately? He's consistently terrible.

You guys need to watch some really good baseball teams.

You're clueless as to what constitutes a good middle relief.

The Sox haven't had one since Dennis Lamb in 1983.

Pena wouldn't be on most rosters.

He wouldn't be on any of the contenders except the Sox.

Sean Lowe was great. Pena's had good spurts as a long reliever, but he's been dismal as a short reliever.

I must have missed where someone said Gavin Floyd was an ace...?

No, someone said the somebody or another was pitcher of the month and inferred that indicated ace-hood sort of. Then somebody said it didn't. I offered GF as an example of it not. (Sorry, with the game as it is and my general laziness, I don't feel like going back to look it up. Anyway, it's all good... other than the score... And Danks' performance... and bullpen injuries... And our designated "hitters"...)

I made the original comment, but it was saying that Jackson is a POTM candidate, and that basically says how dominant he has been with us. I forgot to highlight the part I was referring to, so some people thought I was saying POTM award makes him an ace, when I was referring to him being dominant.

It was a misunderstanding from the get-go.

You're certainly right about the POTM numbers for EJ.
