October 3, 201015 yr Author QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 03:49 PM) Alexei had a pretty good day too. Fixed. Paulie...let there be more.
October 3, 201015 yr QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 04:51 PM) Bye! See all you fair-weather fans in April! I will be waiting for you there.
October 3, 201015 yr QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 01:51 PM) Bye! See all you fair-weather fans in April! God willing. I'm sure the board will come back to life with the 1st big move of the off season.
October 3, 201015 yr Hopefully in 2011 the team invests in a muzzle or a box of STFU for Ozzie and his son
October 3, 201015 yr It is so good to end the year with a win. I'll be here from time to time this winter and look forward to the winter trading and free agent signings that will occur.
October 3, 201015 yr I'm giving the Gold Glove award ONE LAST f***ING CHANCE! If 'Alexei doesn't win it I'm done.
October 3, 201015 yr I personally think he's gone, and I will say thanks for everything Paulie. :cheers
October 3, 201015 yr When it was time to run out and the team made Paulie run out alone, and then AJ. TOTAL CLASS. That was one of the coolest things I've ever seen, in a season full of classy Sox moments (Frank Thomas day, Nancy's goodbye). God I hope Paulie and AJ are back next year.
October 3, 201015 yr It's great to see Ozzie go over 600 wins as WSox skipper here to end the season (my apologies if this has already been brought up). I'm still not convinced Ozzie will be back next year. While I agree you could argue he's always had a winnable schedule and should have won the division more than twice in his seven year stint...subtract the 90 loss season where EVERYTHING went wrong and Ozzie averaged winning near 90 games/year in a time where the AL has been crazy good.
October 3, 201015 yr QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 09:18 PM) I'm giving the Gold Glove award ONE LAST f***ING CHANCE! If 'Alexei doesn't win it I'm done. Not a chance he wins it, as his error total climbed too high. I believe he ended with 19.
October 4, 201015 yr Author QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 06:45 PM) Not a chance he wins it, as his error total climbed too high. I believe he ended with 19. 20. In every other statistic, traditional and advanced, he's the far and away best SS, but because he made 20 errors the votes will look at the golden boy Jeter for the glove.
October 4, 201015 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 11:45 PM) Not a chance he wins it, as his error total climbed too high. I believe he ended with 19. Alexei is pretty special with that leather, but they probbaly give it to Jeter just cause he's a Yankmee. Now Alexei might have a pretty good chance for the Silver Slugger though unless they give that to Jeter cause he's a Yankmee

Now Alexei might have a pretty good chance for the Silver Slugger though unless they give that to Jeter cause he's a Yankmee Far and away the best; leads in putouts, UZR, assists, double plays, double plays started, etc. If he had Jeter's "range" he'd have 1 error.
October 4, 201015 yr Alexei should win GG, but I don't forsee it happening. Anyone else read the Sun-Times today? Sounds like both KW and Ozzie buried the hatchet once and for all.
October 4, 201015 yr QUOTE (LVSoxFan @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 05:20 PM) When it was time to run out and the team made Paulie run out alone, and then AJ. TOTAL CLASS. That was one of the coolest things I've ever seen, in a season full of classy Sox moments (Frank Thomas day, Nancy's goodbye). God I hope Paulie and AJ are back next year. I loved this. This moment, and how/when Ozzie took them out of the game was extremely well handled, classy, and respectable.
October 5, 201015 yr QUOTE (PlunketChris @ Oct 4, 2010 -> 06:39 PM) I loved this. This moment, and how/when Ozzie took them out of the game was extremely well handled, classy, and respectable. Is there video anywhere of the opening inning?
