Food changes at the Cell this year

Featured Replies

I had the Cuban Comet sandwich last night. Holy hell it is a DONT MISS item. Located in section 152 i believe. Right next to the Tex-Mex stand that was turning out 2lb souvenir nachos.

where did you get one? The club level has an unreal italian.

Tried the new pizza, I was curious. Its definitely an improvement, though its nothing great, which is what I'd expect at the ballpark.

Saw some guy with a giant taco salad-looking thing in a full size helmet. Looked like about 4 pounds of food in there.

I saw that over the weekend too. Supposedly it is $11.

It's nachos, no?

I don't know. It was a giant baseball helmet full of some sort of apparently-Mexican food.

yeah its the two pound nacho thinggie.. anyone venture into the Bacardi At The Park yet? I'd like to try it out before a game, I like how its open at 11am so you could be completely annihilated by the time the game starts.

yeah it wasnt the club level...i forgot what they call em, but places on the 100 level that look like the hot dog stands but dont have the dogs- they sell the italians and polish's with onions and peppers

Yeah, I only like the brats at that stand, and its still notches below the polish and dog grill.

I'd recommend the BBQ stand and the Cuban stand if anyone is down the 3rd base line. Both are awesome.

The Connie's may not have been great, but I thought the new pizza was awful. It's almost insulting when you can see them cooking the frozen pizza right there, cutting you a little slice, and paying $5 for it.

What a sad state of affairs.

Look at the kids' faces.

2 days ago on the A's broadcast they showed someone at the Cell preparing something that to the outside viewer certainly appeared to be a deep dish.

Was that just totally made up?

The Comet stand started last year, with the Italian Ice stands.

Which speaking of, the Italian Ice stands are the s***.

Just went Sunday. Tried the helmet nachos. SUPERB! EPIC! A really tasty and enormous ballpark snack. Can easily split for two. So cool to get a real life-sized helmet bowl (flat bottom) to take home. Perfect for potato chips service in your man cave!

PS: NO ONE was getting pizza. No lines at that stand. Line 20 deep at the nachos though.

2 years ago they switched to Bobak's sausage for italians and polish. Its no good.

I had the cheese steak, I thought it was unremarkable, but good enough for stadium food.

The polishes are still awesome.
