Well, Dunn's honeymoon lasted 3 weeks. Fans booing him after another strikeout.

14 K's in 33 at-bats you pegged it other day when you pointed out it seems he can hit when the situation dictates nothing he can do can do any real damage.

Edited by Harry Chappas

This would be a good inning to get Thornton some action instead of making Crain unavailable for tomorrow.

I knew watching Dunn strike out 200 times was going to be rough, but I wasn't prepared for .188. Let's hope that changes SOON!

If you're talking about the Felix thread, I was being sarcastic. However, he's notorious for being a bad situational hitter.

Just like Jim Thome, he's notorious for being a bad situational hitter because people only pay attention to the bad situations and expect him to succeed 100% in clutch times otherwise they boo.

His career OPS in high-leverage situations is higher than medium-low.

Anyone who writes and believes what you just wrote deserves ridicule.

The positive that I can take from this game is that Crain looks like a pretty good option out of the bullpen. Maybe the struggle for the closer role should have been between Crain and Santos, not Sale and Thornton.

With Dunn, I was talking about his inability to hit sac flies, etc. Didn't he go like 2 years without one?

Why is Jesse Crain being used as the mop up on this team?

Guillen seems like he was unprepared and thus so was his team for the season again.

2 RUNS...C'mon!!!

Crain's 2 innings of work, so who is the righty setup guy tomorrow? (Santos needs to close.) Pen construction has contributed mightily to its failure.

Come on bats!

No idea, but don't even get me started on Crain not being used on Wednesday to start the inning.

Yes. From 2004-2005.

He's since averaged 4-5 per year.

Anyone else you want to judge based on what they did in 2004?

2 innings in a 2 run game is mop up duty? Maybe.. Just MAYBE they're trying to keep the game close, instead of putting Ohman or Pena out there..

Here we go. Last chance. :pray

Good start 20.

TCQ getting things started off right

Let's go.

Good time for Rios to wake the f*** up and get a big clutch hit. First homer would be nice.

Walden hasn't been scored on, let's change that.

nope, good to hear he's improved with that. I didn't really follow him after he left the Reds...heck, I forgot he was ever on Arizona.

Huh? Never said it was bad to get him an inning today.

guy's got a funky delivery...like he's tripping himself every pitch.

Where's Aardsma when you need him?
