It takes a lot to get people to adapt a second team. People aren't going to adapt it just because ticket prices are chep.

But if the cheap, available, tickets mean you can see more of a team, wouldn't that lead to a fanbase? I was surprised that the Bears would be an easier competitor than the Bulls. Now I can see why from these posts. I am also starting to believe that the Bears fanbase incudes a lot of "Cubs-like" fans who just enjoy the experience of attending an NFL game.

The next question would be, if you had the money and the go ahead to start a team anywhere in the world, where would it be? I'm not certain if Chicago is the ultimate spot.

A lot of the kids will. They've grown up being Colts fans.

I'm one of them.

But how long are you willing to lose money on ticket sales to build that fanbase? 30 years, so that the kids can grow up?

I'd choose Los Angeles or the Tri-State area first if I had to go to a city that already had a team. If it's any city including ones that don't have a team, it depends on the sport. If it's basketball, I would put one in Louisville and profit like OKC.

Los Angeles needs an NFL team playing in a legit stadium. The NFL needs to be there.

I think most of that is because of the station of both of these teams. I bet the answers would have been very different 5 years ago.

I can´t see myself rooting for another NFL team, I love the Bears through thick and thin.

I was a Bulls fan before MJ and even though I lived in California for over a decade, I couldn´t bring myself to be a Lakers fan, not even as a second favorite team.

I don't apply to this question...but I’ll turn it a similar way:

I am a New Yorker, who only follows the Knicks, but would also follow a second team like the Nets when they move to Brooklyn in 2 years. But that's only because I'm a bandwagon NBA fan, I don’t follow the NBA very much.

For the NFL, I am a die-hard Dolphins fan, and of course hate the Jets. But the Giants are my second favorite team (if I had to pick one)... just as the Mets are in baseball.

So I guess what I'm concluding is if another team moves to NY I would follow them somewhat if they were winning, so as long as they weren't a rival or in the same division of my team.

I wished I lived in a city that was home to sports teams of sports I care about. I dont watch the NBA unless I have money on the game or if its the playoffs and even then I'll only watch a few minutes here and there.

The NFL will never come to Orlando so I dont have to worry about that but I would switch from the Sox if a team moved to Orlando. Even though I've been a Sox fan since living in Sarasota in the mid-late 80s, I would want to support a local team of my own. Does that make any sense?
