Correct, Soriano hit CQ with a curveball and Ozzie put Lillibridge in to PR

lol, really? Lillibridge was in RF because he replaced the right fielder. but yeah Ozzie was using his psychic powers to prevent those lasers hit in RF from winning the game

Oz gets no credit for this win?

He managed very very well in a game the offense stunk again.

By the way, yes the Yankees bunted in the ninth inning as Oz also woulda done.

People think Oz is so different. It called for a bunt so NY bunted.

He bunted to get to Tex and A ROD not Omar and Pierre.

So what, every manager bunts in that situation no matter what and yet Oz gets ripped by Sox fans on here when he does it.

He could have put Omar in at 3B and moved Teahen to RF very easily.

No, they really don't. I have a feeling Girardi looked at Granderson's career numbers against Thornton, and decided to bunt.

He got credit up until 1) the pierre SB attempt in the 9th and 2) taking out floyd after jeter's hit. Both ridiculous.

I was there again tonight - those catches... lemme tell you guys. I know you saw them on TV, but live it was even better. Those Yankee fans dejection was so, so sweet.

Brent - f***ing - Lillibridge.

Single handedly responsible for the win!

Then why it is written in the manager's book, 'play to tie at home and win on the road.'

teams bunt in that situation.

Why rub two sticks together with string when you have a f***ing Bic?

If he had done that it wouldve been ridiculous

He's been replacing Quentin with Lilli on the basepaths late in games for most of the year now. It's the only reason Lillibridge has a roster spot.

I'm sure part of the reason he uses him for Quentin is because he also serves as a better defensive replacement.

Ozzie deserves credit because he is willing to put Lillibridge out there in close games even when Quentin might have gotten another PA. This time it paid off. Another time it won't.

I'm just happy we won.

Hah, Greg, you crack me up.

Great, but you have to admit all managers play for the tie in that situation.

You bunt like the Yankees did.

I'm neither an Ozzie supporter nor hater. But I thought he did a great job tonight.
