Yeah, Bryce Mosier, catcher. He sounds like a pretty good prospect, but obviously any prep player taken this late is probably a tough sign. Committed to SDSU.

Story on the 34th rounder. Also a high schooler, but that makes it sound like he will sign.

I wonder what the deal was on a suspension?

How did Ozney do in college last year?

How did Ozney do in college last year?

Quite well in his first year at JC.

White Sox 39th rounder: Javier Reynoso, LHP, Brooks-DeBartolo Collegiate HS (FL). 5-11, 182. Coastal Carolina commit.

White Sox 40th rounder: Jacob Reed, RHP, Helix HS (CA). 6-2, 180. Oregon commit. BA top 200.

White Sox 41st rounder: James (Chandler) Shepherd, RHP, Lawrence County HS (KY). 6-3, 185. Kentucky commit. Tough sign.

Weird. Today all high school kids, yesterday all college kids.

Last 3 guys are all pretty good prospects. Would be nice if the Sox went aggressive on a couple of them, but its very doubtul. This is usually really late in the game for a major overslot signing.

Pretty much all the prep guys drafted by the Sox are good prospects that aren't expected to sign.

Not surprised after yesterday's decision to go all college, they obviously wanted to infuse talent in the system with more ready prospects, and now they most likely drafted everybody that they liked out of college and are looking past the "blah" prospects and towards the high school tough signs to see if they can steal one or two.

Gregor said the opposite. Kid didn't hit for much of any power and doesn't have a single HR. Probably not going to do well as a corner OF/1B with no power to speak of.
