a part of guillen's job is to put players in the best position to be successful...he is not doing that

although he will scream from the mountaintops that is exactly what he is doing for Lillibridge and morel.

This is easily the most frustrating team to watch since 2007.

At least then there were clear moments of acceptance. I'm not so sure about this year.

Man that fan is driving me crazy

Maggs, can you call up the postgame show just so we can hear Rongey say "you don't ph for someone with Dunn's pedigree?" I love that line. Sale's looked fantastic today, which is always something that warms my heart.

Savior.

For a moment, I thought you were highlighting that because I'd misspelled it.

I'm going to predict we see PH'ers for Teahen and Beckham, but definitely not for Pierre.

Nah, we'll have to wait until September to accept our second place fate.

Only person who could get ph for is Beckham

Michael Morse is very easy to dislike. He's annoying as hell to watch.

I think I'm going to call in from the Philippines and pose that question.

Sucks to see 2 1/2 GB flip to 4 1/2 in the span of about 5 minutes. We absolutely can't let the Tigers get too far in front of us. Their offense has a lot of holes, but Verlander just about looks unbeatable unless he ends up on the DL.

Nice camera work.

Nice by sale

1-2-3 ninth or will Sox have some balls.

Hell of a job by Sale today. Bullpen should all be fine come Tuesday.

Even more fun...Teahen, Beckham, Pierre, Vizquel.

That's due up in the 9th.

Murderers Row???

Nice camera work.

Technically, that's on the director, not the camera guy. Common misconception. :)

Teahen and Pierre will stay in to face Storen because they're lefties. Lillibridge will stay on the bench because he's a righty. Ditto Alexei.

Stat guys: what's the worst LHP or RHP split a hitter has had in MLB history? Is Dunn threatening the record against LHP?

Haha, if I was on the road like last Sunday, I definitely would. But alas, I want to put this game out of my mind as soon as it's over.

Nice job there by McLaren of forcing the issue

So wait, we pinch hit Lillibridge for Teahen, taking out the guy who homered off Storen last time, to force them to bring Storen in?

Lillibridge on to pinch-hit vs Burnett, so of course, Storen comes in.

Why would we ever think they weren't going to start the inning with Storen?

McLaren called that bluff.

You'd rather have Lillibridge versus Storen than Teahen versus LHP Burnett.

I guess. That's the argument. So Alexei will hit next, then Pierre.
