I think Alex needs to reinvent a new batting stance.

Its about time Rios hit something with some authority.

Awful, his swing looks like it has about 4 different parts to it.

Big out by Alex.

Weak swing. 2-0 lead is a start. Sox ain't gonna win this game, 2-0 though. More work to do.

Well at least we got 2.

I wish he would retire, or at least officially announce his retirement.

Joe West approves

That's "Country" Joe

Alex also could use some time in the minors (I realize that isn't gonna happen).

Hey man, no need to point.

Mark Buehrle is gonna have something to say about that.

I thought this was pretty funny:

Ubaldo hits Quentin perhaps because he thinks 500 other pitchers can't be wrong.

It still is amazing that we have so many more years/millions to pay a guy that seems to be going through the motions more than anyone we've had here in the Ozzie regime. For as much as people complained about Carlos Lee, he hustled a hell of a lot more than Rios.

"thats a balk"

Rios helped us out!

That was a nice play.

Very nice catch there by Rios to hopefully prevent big inning. Way to shut us up...for a few seconds

Rios is 10X better coming in on the ball.

Well, you can say that for 90% of outfielders, but that was a nice play preventing an XB hit.

10-6 Mets.

Yet the guys who can go back on the ball and thus play a lot more shallow might not make as spectacular of plays, but save a lot more runs.

i can't believe its more than 2 years left.. feels like it should be next year or 2.. but god damn if he just gave a crap.. The Lee comparison was a good one, carlos seems like an energizer bunny compared to rios :)

You guys know over the last 9 games or so Rios has been hitting really well, I think his average is over 300 (atleast thats what the stat said earlier in the game)

lol, wiggy

Is it 4 after this one? The one hope is that he's still physically capable that last year, because then he may put up some numbers looking for another contract.
