Hasn't every study ever showed that it's faster to keep running through the base than it is to slide/dive?

Yep faster to 1b running through the bag.

Extra Grindy. Thats awesome. The shortest path between two points is a straight line 97%of the way, the slide and allow drag to speed you up.

Morel's pretty good in a contact situation too, but having the bases loaded so that he has to pitch to the guy is a decent advantage.

 

Since it's NL rules, it's also not like we've lost the captain. He's just hitting 9th.

I have a feeling this is going to come back around the lineup and Paulie is going to win this one for us...
