It was a pitch out on a hit and run.

Why swing?

Disagree, it's cause they've given up hope in Morel.

No way. If that was the case, Omar would be over there.

Why swing?

He threw the bat at the ball hoping either to A. make a little contact so the guy wasn't a dead duck or B. distract the catcher.

Its a waste.

Jackson has no out pitch but had the best k/9 of anyone on the Sox staff.

I guess we have really high expectations.

His slider is 87-90 mph and his fastball is 94-96 mph. There is not enough velocity difference between his fastball and slider to consistently get swings and misses. Instead the hitters are out in front of the pitch and they are getting a piece of the slider. I've been thinking the whole season that if he could take enough off of his slider to get it in the 84-86 mph range then he would rack up the Ks.

Whatever. If he got lucky the bat would have somehow hit the ball and it would have probably been foul and the Sox would still have a runner on base. It was worth the gamble of a strike.

Great inning for Crain.

nice inning by Crain. Top of the lineup coming up lets get some runs cuz it looks like Thornton will be in for the 8th.

Good job Crain!

Ump called 2 bad pitches strikes right before that, Ramirez was swinging no matter what.

Jay Cutler's wedding is off? Say it isn't so.

I was thinking the same thing with the Rasmus rumors. Is he in the pen?

Sale >> Thornton

Wow, Sale made Cabrera look AW-FUL.

Sale is nasty

Oh Sale! Time to trade him for Mike Stanton

Nice job Sale now Santos time of our program.

Rios is impressed with Cabrera's hustle

He good. Looks more comfortable against righties all the time.

That's why I didn't want Ohman.

I want Sale.
