August 12, 201114 yr very, very satisfying road trip. Showed a lot of character bouncing back after the beating they took from NY.
August 12, 201114 yr Whose WS record did he break with the 18 consecutive starts with 3 or less runs? Grab some bench, Dunn. Lillibridge will be starting for you tmrw night against Chen. Gordon, you're about a week away from being benched. Morel...that's what we have been waiting for all season. Alexei, your best at-bat tonight wasn't the homer, it was the single to RF. AJ continues to be the most professional hitter on the team, along with Paulie. Rios, you're hitting a lot of line drives that aren't falling in, but that doesn't mean you don't have to move the runner over to 3rd with less than 2 outs. We failed in that situation 2 or 3 times tonight, actually.
August 12, 201114 yr Author Yeah, when you say the phrase "professional hitter" the only guy that applies to is paulie.
August 12, 201114 yr Juan Pierre 3-5 two RBIs and a run scored. He is hitting .281. Give it up for Juan Pierre. The most productive hated player in America. Also ... Mark, Konerko, Lexi, Sergio. Good road trip. It's put up or shut up time at home.
August 12, 201114 yr QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 11, 2011 -> 07:03 PM) Gordon, you're about a week away from being benched. Omar? Lillibridge? Give up a lot on defense.
August 12, 201114 yr Buehrle is 7 starts from 30, and 45 innings from 200. He should get 8-9 more starts, so he's looking good.
August 12, 201114 yr Author QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 11, 2011 -> 10:15 PM) Omar? Lillibridge? Give up a lot on defense. Hell, try Kuhn?
August 12, 201114 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 11, 2011 -> 07:17 PM) Hell, try Kuhn? I don't know anything about his glove...good?
August 12, 201114 yr QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 11, 2011 -> 09:18 PM) I don't know anything about his glove...good? People here say great. I even read better than beckham, which I think is ridiculous but I guess its possible.
August 12, 201114 yr It would be really sad if we didn't have more than 25,000 tomorrow night in attendance...then again, we've already lost to Chen twice. But you'd think there would be SOME excitement about seeing Stewart pitch his first game in front of the home fans.

But you'd think there would be SOME excitement about seeing Stewart pitch his first game in front of the home fans. I'd bet 20,500
August 12, 201114 yr QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 11, 2011 -> 09:13 PM) Juan Pierre 3-5 two RBIs and a run scored. He is hitting .281. Give it up for Juan Pierre. The most productive hated player in America. Also ... Mark, Konerko, Lexi, Sergio. Good road trip. It's put up or shut up time at home. He's definitely hated, but there's a lot of hated players that don't have a negative WAR (still).

August 12, 201114 yr QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 12, 2011 -> 02:56 AM) He's definitely hated, but there's a lot of hated players that don't have a negative WAR (still). He's been damn good for a long time now IMO. Most buried him after his first error of the season and haven't let him off the hook since his second error. I'm not a big fan of Mr. Slappy, but .281 is .281.

When he hits over.270, I call him Juan Dog. Under .270 and it's Slappy. Mark is a badass. I want someone to work with Gordon badly.

August 12, 201114 yr QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 12, 2011 -> 01:58 AM) So.....are we destined to finish 81-81? Somewhere between 79 and 83 wins.
August 12, 201114 yr QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 12, 2011 -> 02:59 AM) Somewhere between 79 and 83 wins. This has 83 and second place written all over it if you ask me.
August 12, 201114 yr QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 12, 2011 -> 02:58 AM) So.....are we destined to finish 81-81? Seems to be the White Sox destiny: QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 11, 2011 -> 09:39 PM) 6-1 road trip after a 1-6 homestand
