Also a new team to me.

I'm fine with that

I think so the time has come.

I know he's beloved but his two no-hitters aside, this guy ain't no ace.

I was blessed to have seen Gary Peters, Tommy John, Joel Horlen and Wilbur Wood pitch for the Sox.

If your measure of an ace-like pitcher is Mark, you didn't see these guys.

Looks like Mark's ready for the offseason.

I wonder if all those perspective buyers realize he's only good until August.

He's the most reliable closer in postseason history.

He looks like Sale's RHP clone.

I got offered a free ticket to the game tomorrow.. I don't think I want to go.

If Detroit goes 8-10 their final 18, the Sox only have to go 18-1 for the tie. Keep updating us on those scores Hawk.

Are you kidding me?

Mark has had a better Sox career than any of those guys.

I don't understand this negativity surrounding Sox legends sometimes. Mark gets hit sometimes but any team would be lucky to have him.

I think it's safe to say Mark Buehrle has had a WAY BETTER career than any of those guys you mentioned. Chubby Wilbur got guys out but he also got hit hard a lot as well.

Whether he's an 'ace' or not, who cares? he's great.

Barely a 3-page game thread? Lol, wow.

They're getting shorter and shorter. Especially on the weekends. Yet those who want a rebuild don't know what they're in for. I realize Soxtalk makes up a very small minority of Sox fans. But bring this crap back next year and 5-page or less game threads will become the rule.

If we have a season like the Cubs are having there will be NO interest.

That's what happens when you fall 10 or more back in June.

I haven't heard a fricking word about the Cubs in months.

Though admittedly i dont read the Trib or SunTimes much.

I saw those guys too. 1967 and earlier was some pitching staff for the Sox. 1967 is when Joel Horlen was robbed of the Cy Young and they gave it to Jim Lonborg just because Boston was the AL, But, Mark Buerhle is pretty special too

Mark is way more consistent than those guys. Tommy John was better, but not when he was a Sox.
