Eight Miles High -- The Byrds

Assuming you mean songs that specifically reference drug usage, as opposed to songs that are very obviously composed stoned, these definitely belong in the conversation:

If it's the latter, that opens up a whole new bag of worms, but the Desert Sessions Vol. 1 & 2 is up there: Cowards Way Out

Also, Curren$y's Breakfast. If nothing else for the MTV censorship of the video.

Haha, that's awesome.

"Third Eye" by Tool.

Kickstart my Heart by Motley Crue.

Mr. Brownstone - GNR

I didn't know Mr. Brownstone was about drugs...

Semi-Charmed Life by Third Eye Blind is a funny one. That was a huge song that no one notices was about crystal meth even though he says it in the song

Horse With No Name - America

Love a lot of these bands, none of the songs really. Some of them I liked, but they were way over played. I'd have to say Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds from the list.

Cocaine Blues

One Toke Over The Line

Hurt?

Let It Bleed

I don't think Hurt was about drugs, at least in the spirit Cash sang about it anyway. I'm not familiar enough with Reznor's original version to comment on that.

I think my favorite would have to be Charley Patton's rendition of "Spoonful" though. Howlin Wolf's version is pretty good, too.

I also like someone's mention of Third Eye Blind. It is funny that few seem to realize that song is entirely about having tons of sex after getting high off crystal meth.

That could be one of the best songs about slamming Heroin out there.

"Feel Good Hit of the Summer" - Queens of the Stone Age

Doctor Feelgood

Doctor Robert was way better

Since it's the only song on that list that I like, AND it's the only Lynyrd Skynyrd song I like, I vote for That Smell.

yes

Thru & Thru by The Rolling Stones.

And how did Comfortably Numb not make it?

Because f*** Pink Floyd.
