have you looked at Dwights rebounding numbers? Ever? Noah and Dengs rebounds are pretty much mitigated

 

Dwight isn't pulling down more than 15 rebounds. Throw in the fact that he's never had rebounders like Boozer and Taj with him, they'll take a hit.

 

Noah, now that he seems to be back to high-energy Noah, can pull down 12. Deng can pull down 8, more likely 6. At best it would be a lateral move in rebounds.

 

Deng spaces the floor like Brewer can't and Noah can hit FTs. Dwight isn't improving our offense with highlight dunks if we lose Deng (obviously if it's just Noah, he does).

 

So if we include Deng/Noah then at best our defense goes from damn good to slightly more damn good and our offense is about the same or worse since Boozer isn't a stretch four like Dwight is used to playing with.

 

Then we mortgage the future by throwing out Mirotic and the Bobcats pick?

 

Then let's consider the Magic's best leverage is MarShon Brooks and Brook Lopez. I'm sorry, but Noah alone > those two.

Its not about values its going to be matching contracts. So you may have to trade Deng just to make it work, obviously you hope they take Boooooooozer but youd have to hope the Magic GM had a mild stroke to accept that.

But again, I just wanna point out there is no reason for to bid against ourselves when the Magic have no leverage.

As far as I know after he signed it it was a Poison Pill Contract, so not worth it's value. Now, I'm not sure.

 

But fine then, $6M from Noah, $5M from Korver, $3M from Brewer. That's within 150% of Dwight's $18M.
