Peavy vs Ozzie

How do you know he wasn't 'ready' to play? Maybe he's just not that good. Or he's a slow starter like Lexi?

He was never a slow starter in a long career before coming to the White Sox. Career .275 hitter in April, but much, much lower than that in his 2 aprils on the South Side.

And if he's not that good...well, he shouldn't have been playing and given the most at bats on the team. That's the craziest defense of the player you've ever given. "He's not that good, it's not his fault he had a terrible start, some crazy fool kept putting him in the lineup when he didn't deserve to play at all".

Are you guys saying you are glad Mark is gone?

How could anybody take that position?

Greg, you are just terrible.

No, no, Ozzie simply had to play him, he makes the big bucks. (The Rongey/Dunn argument, along with no player can ever break a slump sitting on the bench.)

It's KW's fault for acquiring and thinking he could stand up to full-time play at the leadoff spot and be productive at this point in his career.

Ozzie bears no blame or fault here.

Rongey was just giving the company line. It is what is asked and expected from him. Everytime they talk to Brooks Boyer or you read Eddie Einhorn, they mention they don't employ people (and I know the radio station technically employs Rongey) to rip on the product. Just keep in mind Rongey said last season that one player doesn't make a difference. If Adam Dunn has a big spring Rongey will say that Adam Dunn returning to his career norms will make a big difference. Contradition I believe.

Ha!

The chairman Reinsdorf issues a statement saying Ozzie never quit!!

Cowley is tweeting like mad about it.

I wish the haters would issue Ozzie a heartfelt apology right now. The chairman told him he HAD to go to Miami by the end of the season.

This kills the ammo of some of the haters. Cowley is ripping the haters on Twitter.

Have you ever heard anything unprofessional about Juan ... any implication of any kind he wouldn't get himself ready to play?

I mean now I've heard everything.

The guy had a s***ty April or half April. Stuff happens.

Our team was full of s*** performers. Everything I've heard about Juan is he is a pro.
