Matt Blanchard if necessary. None will be on the active roster, only Blanchard on the practice squad

But they ahve that rule where the practice squad QB can play if the top 2 QB's both get hurt and are out for the game.

Urlacher tells Lou Canellis that he's going to play in the opener.

I fully expect Urlacher to not play in the opener.

Fan falls to death due to "horseplay" on an elevator at Houston's Reliant stadium.

Idiot.

RIP

Urlacher was supposed to be in practice today.

Interesting. I'm interested in why we let McCown go. He wasn't going to push Cutler for his starting job by any stretch, but I really admired the way he played last season. Played like a guy who didn't want to go back to coaching HS football. Wasn't afraid.

The way you want to look at it is this, you dont want to ever need your third string QB. I want to know that 3rd QB spot is being used to shore up a position of need right now, like DT or OT

Urlacher practiced yesterday. Supposedly was "one of the guys". Curious to see how he's feeling today.

Playoff predictions:

NFC East: NY Giants 11-5

NFC Central: Green Bay 13-3

NFC South: Atlanta 10-6

NFC West: San Francisco 10-6

NFC Wildcards: Chicago 12-4, Detroit 10-6

AFC East: New England 12-4

AFC North: Baltimore 12-4

AFC South: Houston 12-4

AFC West: Denver 10-6

AFC Wildcards: Pittsburgh 11-5, Cincinnati 9-7

NFC Championship: Chicago over Green Bay

AFC Championship: Denver over Houston

Super Bowl: Denver over Chicago

Eh, I'd go with this:

NFC East: Philadelphia Eagles

NFC Central: Green Bay

NFC South: Atlanta

NFC West: San Francisco

NFC Wildcards: Chicago , New York Giants

AFC East: New England

AFC North: Baltimore

AFC South: Houston

AFC West: San Diego

AFC Wildcards: Denver, Indianapolis

NFC Championship: San Francisco over Green Bay

AFC Championship: New England over Houston

Super Bowl: New England over San Francisco

I'm rooting for a Harbaugh bowl as they're two great coaches.

Due to the Podlesh injury, I think they were forced to roster two punters, so that made it even tougher to waste a roster spot on a 3rd QB.

The only way you need to use your 3rd QB, would be if Cutler & Campbell were injured during the game, then you are probably f***ed anyway so who cares.

Off topic but I saw Lou Canellis at Trader Joes on Roosevelt over the weekend, hot wife. Ironically, I saw her in the melon section

Sounds like Bryant McKinnie is going to be released or he quit or something.

Wow. I haven't followed his career at all, I just remember his long rookie holdout. Has he been a problem off the field?

He has had weight issues.

And love boat issues.

I know they're predictions and all, and so opinions are opinions, but Indy? Really?

The Colts have a lot better team surrounding Andrew Luck than Peyton Manning had in his rookie season, and the AFC is very weak. I didn't pick them to make the playoffs, but I think they go 8-8 and finish second in their division.

That Baltimore D is gonna miss Suggs big time. With their inability to score, thy could underachieve. Flacco needs to bust ou.

I can't wait for football tonight. I'm so glad the preseason is over.

It was way toned down from the original.

Ha I know hence my joke :)

And the your picks are still controversial.

Since you guys are pros or somethin..who should I start week 1 RGIII or P. Manning? I'm torn.

I keep hearing experts say RGIII is gonna have a big game against the Saints. At the same time I know Ryan Clarks not playing in the Steelers game. This is a money league other wise I wouldnt care to ask

Manning. Not a second thought otherwise.

Dont know rules, RG3 might get you more rushing yards and have a shot at a rushing TD. Manning likely throws for more yards, TD, and fewer INT, unless thy get out to a big lead early.
