Make em pay

Please God.

Make em pay Alex, work that count

s***! Alex you're so stupid

There is the Rios we know and love

What a tease with any clutch hitting at all Sox would of won all 4 games!

That sucks. Once again we leave the bases loaded for lack of the clutch hit and lose

Dammit Rios, instead of arguing with the ump, you could have tried to run to 1B like you're supposed to.

That first foul really got the at-bat off to a bad start.

Once again, another game in this series ends with the bases loaded and goes against us.

Well...

Just stare a bit longer Rios. Maybe they'll forget you can run, too.

Nice effort at the comeback, we just haven't had a clutch hit at home this year. It's too bad our bench has been a total disaster so far this year, as it makes it hard to sit Beckham and Morel.

Nice hanger Gavin. Difference in the game.

Gavin needs to go far away

That is very hard too do!

I'm still kinda shocked that Ventura didn't have Fukudome bat for Escobar. Never a good thing to have the worst two players on your roster (Stewart and Escobar) play important roles in a close game.

Where I come from, you'd never see the field again after a stunt like that.

For those that couldn't see the 9th, what happened with Rios?

Fukudome is also good at drawing a walk, which Escobar most precisely is not.

Before everyone blames Rios for not running (which most will do), blame him for looking at a pitch that close with 2 strikes. It's not natural for a hitter to run to 1st after a strike out where he didn't even swing the bat.

Bases loaded, 1-2 count, he takes a breaking ball off the outside corner, called a strike. Paulino drops the ball and it bounces away. Rios argues the call at home instead of trying to run to 1st.

+1

These hitters have done just a terrible job of protecting with 2 strikes. If I didn't know better, I would have thought Pods is our new hitting coach.

Very questionable letting Escobar lead off that inning.

I'm not overly angry that the Sox lost today. They simply didn't deserve to win. On the plus side the Sox didn't have to use Thornton, Reed or Crain. Bullpen should be in good shape for the weekend.
