We traded him for an All-Star outfielder. That trade sucked, but it seemed both fair and good at the time.

Ryan Sweeney has never been all that great. Never developed the power that would make him a legit full time starting OF. He would have filled roles on the Sox, but that's only because of the failure of other OF's to even be adequate.

No team in MLB history can have 5 hitters under.200 and expect to win many games.

I would walk him EVERY AB possible, nobody but AJ has shown they can get the big hit.

Ventura's going to have a lot of questions to answer if he doesn't use Fukudome (Viciedo), AJ (Flowers) and possibly Escobar next inning against Aceves.

 

 

Marlins got a homer in the bottom of the 8th from Logan Morrison to tie against the D-Backs. Looking at a 7 game losing streak. Doesn't seem to matter who is managing the Sox or Marlins with both teams reeling.
