May 10, 201213 yr Half of the season series is over with Cleveland. I'll take 5-4 right now. Need to beat them at home in a couple weeks.
May 10, 201213 yr QUOTE (flavum @ May 9, 2012 -> 10:12 PM) Half of the season series is over with Cleveland. I'll take 5-4 right now. Need to beat them at home in a couple weeks. Man we're yet to play two pretty bad teams in KC and Minny! We need to beat up on them in order to hang and make a run.
May 10, 201213 yr The Royals seem to be coming into the weekend playing pretty well. A nice 4-3 homestand vs. the Red Sox and Yankees...wish the Sox would have caught them earlier this season.
May 10, 201213 yr I think everyone still wants to think this team is bad and cant say anything good about em. Feels great to blow a team out like that! The cubans are my keys to this offense turning it around so it was great to see one of them, Lexi, get 3 hits today. He's due to get hot and lets hope today is the start of that. If they can put a hot Lexi in that 2 spot we'll be seeing a lot more runs being put on the board.
May 10, 201213 yr QUOTE (jeffro2525 @ May 10, 2012 -> 04:25 AM) The Royals seem to be coming into the weekend playing pretty well. A nice 4-3 homestand vs. the Red Sox and Yankees...wish the Sox would have caught them earlier this season. The Royals know how to hit the baseball. It would be smart to set the tone early against them and take all 3 or 2 of 3 and not lose 2 or 3. Hochevar has been horrible and it really will make no sense for him to throw a gem vs. the Sox. It would make no sense at all. I do realize it could happen though, knock on wood.

May 10, 201213 yr QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ May 9, 2012 -> 10:28 PM) I think everyone still wants to think this team is bad and cant say anything good about em. It was a nice win tonight. Some nights, this team can look competitive, even dominating. Other nights, this team can look totally lost. There's just very little consistency right now from series to series.
May 10, 201213 yr QUOTE (Reddy @ May 10, 2012 -> 04:30 AM) the royals rank 20th in runs scored. Hosmer, Moustakas, Gordon can beat you.
May 10, 201213 yr QUOTE (Reddy @ May 9, 2012 -> 10:30 PM) the royals rank 20th in runs scored. I don't think they'll end up there. I hope I'm wrong, but I have a feeling we're catching them at the wrong time...I mean, at some point the Sox have to start showing signs of life at home. Right?
May 10, 201213 yr QUOTE (jeffro2525 @ May 9, 2012 -> 11:46 PM) I don't think they'll end up there. I hope I'm wrong, but I have a feeling we're catching them at the wrong time...I mean, at some point the Sox have to start showing signs of life at home. Right? The 8 runs today wasnt enough for you?
May 10, 201213 yr QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ May 9, 2012 -> 08:48 PM) The 8 runs today wasnt enough for you? We've been awful at home. Playing one good road game tonight doesn't change that.
May 10, 201213 yr QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 9, 2012 -> 11:50 PM) We've been awful at home. Playing one good road game tonight doesn't change that. I missed the part where he said at home, oops.
May 10, 201213 yr Home/away I could care less. At this point I think its just happenstance. I am encouraged by the performances of the individuals I had little hope for. This team is going to be over .500. Not sure how much.
May 10, 201213 yr Pitching sweet tonight, Jake has been amazing. Viciedo looks horrible. Clearly not ready for prime time.
May 10, 201213 yr QUOTE (kwolf68 @ May 9, 2012 -> 11:15 PM) Pitching sweet tonight, Jake has been amazing. Viciedo looks horrible. Clearly not ready for prime time. I don't agree. He is ready for the biggs, but a slow starter.
May 10, 201213 yr JFP!!! DUNN! After all the b****ing & moaning on Monday, still salvaged a 4-game split.
May 10, 201213 yr Dunn's HR last night was said to be 425 feet. The blast the other day in Detroit was apparently only 422 feet. One of those measurements is wrong. I'm guessing the one in Detroit.
May 10, 201213 yr QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ May 9, 2012 -> 10:10 PM) Nothing? Really? PEAVY! OFFENSE! The team is winning. The angry people have gone away. Also look at how short the game thread is.
May 10, 201213 yr Nice to see life in our line up. I liked what Dunn had to say about- I don't feel hot - in agroove- or something like that but hitting like he is now and if he really does get hot we could see a lot of fireworks

Yeah, when the Sox are in a bad stretch like they were game threads get pretty ugly. What I like best is that Peavy is doing so well. Over the off-season and even early this season I sure read a lot of crap on here about him. He's been Cy Young worthy again.....so sweet!
