Do you have some examples of pitchers with the inverted W motion who blew out their elbow?

Strasburg, Marcum, Zimmermann, Pineda, Prior, Smoltz, Wainwright, CJ Wilson

That enough?

Funny how you Google inverted W, those are the guys that pop up. You're the google king.

1) i didn't have to, I recently read an article, like i mentioned

2) does googling something make it less true?

…the whole theory about the Inverted W… that Strasburg was labeled as one of those guys who uses that kind of arm action… the theory that those guys break down more often… there’s no actual evidence for this and there’s no proof… most people who study pitching mechanics disagree with the theory.

Driveline mechanics

There is a lot of controversy regarding the inverted W theory...there is certainly not enough evidence to be able to state that everyone who has the motion will blow out their arm...

You did google it. Does anyone with the inverted w, avoid surgery?

of course not. but there's a very high correlation. i know that doesn't guarantee causation, but nonetheless it happens quite a bit. Chris Sale has an inverted W. His elbow is already flaring up a bit... we really think he's NOT going to hurt his elbow at some point?

There are people that know a lot more about pitching mechanics than you or I who disagree with your theory.

Flowers did a great job of selling the foul tip catch there!

Way to go PH.

I thought it just bounced...I was hoping he would tag him.

You just said it happens all the time, now it doesn't guarantee it. And you pop off people have no idea what they are posting about.

The highlight today is Humber showing he can still get guys out. I was beginning to wonder.

Damn you Frenchy

Just checked in to see us up 1-0 and I am in agreement with your assessment of Humber;s outing

Sox remain offensively challenged at home.

Lot of hard hit outs tonight. Just need to find some gaps or clear the fences.

gimme a link

Beckham twice to RF. Must be going that way for a reason? I am hoping he is just trying to go with the pitch cause that will pay off in the end. Dunn also lining one to left for a hit

They will continue to be offensively challenged until the young guys start to hit or they acquire better hitters. Today's line up was one Sunday line up Ozzie would have been proud of. Duffy leaving was a help.

Sox hitters continue to be fooled by 3-2 breaking pitches in this series. PK just seems a bit off right now

Sox are not going to win 1-0 today so they better scratch a few more runs.

hahaha the phrase 'all the time' is hyperbole. go look it up.
