Not in the least. Young is the kind of player you're disappointed if a player becomes, because he has all the talent in the world but can't learn how to hit any way other than "Swing hard in case you hit something".

Dayan?

Young has had some very nice extended periods...and he has all the tools. I wouldn't write him off yet. He got off to a great start this year before getting hurt.

Supposedly he tweaked his swing this offseason and came out of the gate like gangbusters hitting .400+. Then he got injured and missed 3 weeks, so who know if he will keep it up.

Noticed that his stats looked gawdy, but no at bats. Interesting.

Even Viciedo's, lol?

I'd love nothing more than to be proven wrong on Viciedo.

It seems to me Young is the type of player you'd hope Rios would be.

Young is a stud.

Delmon Young or Michael Young?

Greg, you're drinking too much of Harrelson's kool-aid from the first time he faced us when he was with Tampa.

Exactly. Of course we're happy that he does hit things, but he didn't by any means maximize his talent.

IIRC, he at least is a good CF defensively

You can come up with other great examples. BJ Upton is another one. Grady Sizemore is another one. These guys manage to cut down the strikeouts by 25% and they win MVP awards, but they can never learn how to do that for some reason.

They're nto as good but that's the exact problem some of the guys in our org have. Danks2, Mitchell are that same boat. Great athletes, but the strikeouts are keeping them out of the big leagues.

Chris Young. He's mourning the 2006 Young for Vazquez trade.

9 up 9 down for Danksy.

Perhaps most importantly, kept them off the board after we built a solid lead.

It's May now.. so expect the Cuban to keep it going. Alexei too.

Alexei's getting annoying.

Hey, I have an already-registered copyright on that complaint.

Or Phil Rogers.

Oh, and worth noting that Viciedo now has 2 hits and 3 RBI against a seemingly tough RHP?

His at bats are getting better...just not many hits yet. At least he's come through several times in the clutch

lol, Karros talking frankly about the Sox. Would have made more sense a couple weeks ago.

They act like Dunn-PK-AJ are the only hitters in the lineup. Leaving out ADA, Rios, Viciedo 2.0, (spot reserved for Orlando Hudson)

If it hasn't been mentioned yet, Thom Brennaman is just the worst.

No, that spot is reserved for McCarver

Absolutely. Can't understand how he keeps getting national work.

He's the worst color guy.

I hate everything about Thom Brennaman. Definitely the worst PBP Fox could put up.

Way to finish off that at bat John!

Why is this game on in Chicago if the FOX games are going nationally.

My mlb.com doesn't work because of FOX blackout.
